29 - Selling A Home With Kids

Often times in the hustle & tight timelines of preparing & selling a home we forget our little residents - our children. They get stuck in the mix of being uprooted with no say in the matter, as well as no idea what is coming next. This episode is a testimonial from a 16 year old that went through the selling process, and she recalls those experiences as a helpful tool for moms and dads considering selling.
Imagine being a child and hearing your parents talking about selling your home. Imagine how scary that feeling can be - with no say in the matter whatsoever.

Imagine not knowing what is coming next, or what toys you'll be able to bring with and maybe have to leave behind.

Imagine having this uncontrollable feeling of insecurity as you watch realtors, buyers, appraisers & more come in-and-out of your home.

Imagine seeing movers move all your belongings away from the childhood home you grew up in.

These are very real and valid concerns and as a child - you have no say in what will happen. In this episode, John interviews Kat, a former teenager who went through the selling process with her mom. As a past client, and now an intern with RE/MAX Service First, she provides an incredibly valuable perspective to the selling process from a child's eye.
